§ 2 /Data stored on your device
Rare Pull has no accounts, and it contains no analytics and no crash reporting. The following data is stored on your iPhone; apart from the anonymous data described in § 3, none of it is sent to us:
- Your packs, answers and points, your streak and your album
This data is deleted when you delete the app.
§ 3 /Anonymous answers
After each pack, Rare Pull sends your answers together with the question, the language and the day of the pack to our server, so we can measure rarity from real answers and add correct answers that are still missing. The server keeps only how often an answer occurs, with no time and no day per answer. Nothing in it identifies you: no device ID, no account and no advertising identifier.
As with any connection over the internet, your IP address reaches the server. Cloudflare hosts the server and processes the IP address only to deliver the request and to limit how many requests a single connection can send; we do not store or log it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running the server reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Details: Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
What is sent is what you type, so please do not enter personal information such as your name.
Because the data cannot be linked to you, we cannot look up or delete individual entries.
§ 4 /In-app purchases
Purchases (Rare Pull Plus and topic packs) are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never receive your payment details. The app checks with Apple that it was installed from the App Store. See Apple Privacy Policy.
§ 5 /Sharing
If you share your pack result from Rare Pull, the app hands a short text to the iOS share sheet; where it goes is up to you.
§ 6 /Your rights
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Our server for this app keeps only anonymous totals that cannot be linked to you, so we usually hold no personal data about you; data processed by Cloudflare or Apple is subject to their policies linked above. § 7 /Children
Rare Pull is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the third-party services used by the app, please contact us so we can act on it.
§ 8 /Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new date at the top.
