§ 2 /Data stored on your device
Blackout keeps its data on your iPhone and never sends it to us:
- High scores and best times
- Number of games played
- Settings such as haptics
- Dates used for the daily reward-video limit and for the rating prompt
This data is deleted when you delete the app. We do not run servers for Blackout, and the app contains no analytics of its own.
§ 3 /Advertising (Google AdMob)
Blackout shows ads through Google AdMob: banners, a full-screen ad after some games, and optional reward videos (for example to continue a run). AdMob may collect device identifiers, your IP address and usage data to deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud. Whether ads are personalised depends on your tracking choice (see § 4).

§ 4 /Tracking permission
Blackout asks for your permission (App Tracking Transparency) before Google may use the advertising identifier to track your activity across other apps and websites. You can change this at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
§ 5 /In-app purchases
The Remove Ads purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store; we never receive your payment details. We use RevenueCat to validate the purchase. RevenueCat processes the transaction data and an anonymous app user ID. Details: RevenueCat Privacy Policy and Apple Privacy Policy.
§ 6 /Game Center and ratings
Blackout uses Apple Game Center for its leaderboards and Apple’s standard prompt to rate the app. Both are operated by Apple (Apple Privacy Policy). We receive nothing beyond your public player name and scores.
§ 7 /Your rights
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Since we do not run servers for this app, we usually hold no personal data about you; data processed by Google, RevenueCat or Apple is subject to their policies linked above. § 8 /Children
Blackout is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the third-party services used by the app, please contact us so we can act on it.
§ 9 /Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new date at the top.
