§ 2 /Data stored on your device
Wordpile has no accounts and no servers of its own, and it contains no analytics and no crash reporting. The following data is stored only on your iPhone and is never sent to us:
- Game progress, stamps, wins and your endless-mode record
- Daily Pile results and streak
- Coin balance and jokers
- Whether Remove Ads was purchased
- Settings such as vibration, and which hints you have seen
- How many reward videos you watched today
This data is deleted when you delete the app.
§ 3 /Advertising (Google AdMob)
Wordpile shows ads through Google AdMob: a full-screen ad after some wins and, if you choose to, a video in exchange for coins or a life. We request non-personalised ads. In regions where consent is required (such as the EU and the UK), the app asks for your consent with Google’s consent form before the first ad is requested; you can change your choice in the app under Settings.
Google may process device information, your IP address and ad interactions to deliver ads, measure them and prevent fraud. The app does not ask for permission to track you across other apps (App Tracking Transparency) and does not use the advertising identifier for tracking.

§ 4 /In-app purchases
Purchases (Remove Ads, coin packs) are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never receive your payment details. The app checks with Apple that it was installed from the App Store. See Apple Privacy Policy.
§ 5 /Sharing and ratings
If you share a Daily Pile result from Wordpile, the app hands a short text to the iOS share sheet; where it goes is up to you. Once, after a number of wins, the app may show Apple’s standard prompt to rate it.
§ 6 /Your rights
You can ask what personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Since we do not run servers for this app, we usually hold no personal data about you; data processed by Google or Apple is subject to their policies linked above. Contact: oliver@oklitz.net.
§ 7 /Children
Wordpile is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the third-party services used by the app, please contact us so we can act on it.
§ 8 /Changes
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new date at the top.
